Last weekend the Festival of senses took place at the faculty of design in Augsburg. Protected by a rainbow, you see a architectural intervention of Folke Köbberling and a group some students of our the faculty. Seven Experts of different departments came and disputed about the real and the artficial preceptions. Students of the University of Applied Sciences had the possibility to explore their senses in Workshops with the Experts or at the Festival during the lectures. With a concert of »Mambo Kurt« the »Milk and Honey Festival« was concluded. Here you can see more pictures of the Festival.
Blu a greate streetartists animation. Very amazing how he creates his works, painting everything. I realy like how he uses the surrounding area.
Prepare for the »Milk and Honey Festival of senses« at the 31st of May at the University of Applied Sciences in Augsburg. Seven Experts of different departments will come to dispute about real and artficial preceptions. The question of the reality of our cognition is going to be a interesting base. In this times when we can work on real and artifical desktops it seems that we slip into a absolut artificiality. Finde out what is real at the Festival.
A brave start into the unknown. In former times, young journeyman left their families and friends behind to become masters of their craft. For three years and one day to come, they travelled the country, never staying longer than one month at one place. It was a way to find out the bravest and most talented during challenging times in difficult circumstances. Two fellow students and also friends, the Nomadic designers Thomas and Fabian sarted their journey to South Africa today. They left Germany to explore the unknown Graphics of Southafrica. They took off to do a Disign Walz offering their design-skills in exchange for bed and bread.
Good luck to you, have a safe journey and a lot greate experiences! For everyone who wants to know more about their Projekt, at NOMADICdesign.de you will finde specific details. Or follow their Blog and stay tuned.
It was time again to performe with the ZEBRA-Stilttheater. This time in Hamburg.
The day after the performance, w hile lngering around the docks of Hamburg I found an exhibition to discover the unseen. »dialog in the dark«. The daily routine becomes a new experience when you don‘t see anything. A blind guide showed us – a smal group of three people, specially constructed darkened rooms, in which scents, sounds, wind, temperatures and textures conveyed the characteristics of daily environments, for example a park, a city or a bar. The splendorous experiences I made there, was my way to prepare for the »Milk and Honey Festival« where Stefan Zappa (also blind) leader of the »Blindekuh« Dark-Restaurant in Zürich will come and introduce us in the sence of taste.
Musician by heart. Beirout more than a Band and Birdy Nam Nam more than four DJ’s
Impressions of Strassbourg where I visited my former flatmate of Budapest Guillaume Ninove. Preparing for the Milk and Honey Festivall 2008 I found a impressive artificial House »Pavillion« by Mathieu Mercier in the Museum of Modern Art. Made in real size it almost looks like a doll’s house. Also very interesting the collection of instant anonyms. Different People are showen in similar situations, like babys in cribs. The funy thing about that was that it could be anyone evan a politition.
Finaly our website is finished. [2ram] is a shared website of my brother Alvin and me. There we present our portfolios and things we have done with friends and felow students.
Yesterday started the typography exhibition of last wintersemesteres studygroupe. In takes place in the bookstorse »Bücher Pustet« in Augsburg. There you will finde pages and exaples of methodic experiments. It is a rather smal exhibition of things that could be posible in bookdesign. Very important to know is that what you will see are exzerpts of »complete editions«. The literary genre of prose, drama and lyrik have been examined in terms of readability and the guidance of the reader. The subjekt of a complete edition is enormous. Every smal tipographic change has greate influance on the ensemble.
Some impressions from Tunisia. What was I doing in Tunesia? Well guess what. What looks like snow on the last picture is actually salt. Tunisia is the northernmost African country and the smallest of the nations situated along the Atlas mountain range. Not very far from there is the salty desert.
