My personal diary

A grafical experience with different techniques and styles. In a very visual world I would be happy to touch more and to feel more things. This is why my personal diary is covered with bubble wrap. I wanted to feel my grafics and to get a part of it you need to be sensitive and carefull in every way. I feel, I hear, I touch, I smell and I see. This book contains my impressions and feelings about Budapest and my time as an ERASMUS-student.

Budapest

It is amazing where you can find letters. This is a book about the typography of Budapests buildings streets and architectures.

Der Struwwelpeter

In the Exlibris task at the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design Budapest I created a book just using different fonts and breaking the rules of typography. Just like the other books I made in the last time I bound this one by myselfe. Struwwelpeter is a childrensbook of 1845 and it was the first german educational childrensbook. In the present time this teachings are already antediluvian and fortunatly renewed. You will agree, that telling a boy that he will die, just because he did not eat his soup is very daft. If you love your child you will give him his liebrties. I think it may be important to have some rules but it is very necessary to brake them to get free.

Edgar Allen Poe

In the 5th Semester I made a Book with the fokus on Typographie and Illustration. The Illustrations I made with the Lithographie-techniques. In every phase of the creation I took part (exept of the printing it selfe and of course the writing). Preparing every part was a great pleasure for me. I was very careful and precise with creating this Book and sometimes felt like a carakter of Poe during that time.

Just a litle idea for Studentcover competition of the Print Magazin. This competition started in 1964 and the University of Art and Design is participating since 1974 at this Competition. Well this is one of my ideas how the cover could look like.
