A handwrighting-history jewl fall into my hands last Semester. »Monographien künstlerischer Schrift 2. Band« by Anna Simons. This is an amaysing and verry impressing book. Anna Simons created 1908 together with the german Artist Peter Behrens the wrighting on the german Parlament »Dem Deutschen Volke«. She also wrote other books like »Edward Johnston und die englische Schreibschrift«. During reserching about Anna Simons and history of wrighting I also found out that the University of Applied Sciences Augsburg is the last University in Germany that teatches after here guidelines. Even though I found some flyfots in some of her works I can’t tell what here part was in the time of National Sozialism. At least I couldn’t finde any traks that would leed back to her. Anyway here you can finde also some interesting frontiers of german handwrighting calligraphists like Rudolf von Larisch, who wrote the »Monographie künstlerischer Schriften«. Soon I will supply you with more informations and new jewls of the Libary of the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design.
